The bustling Songkran festival, one of the most anticipated celebrations in Thailand, is in full swing, drawing in crowds of tourists eager to participate in the traditional water-throwing festivities. At the heart of the action lies the Market Village Shopping Center in Hua Hin District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, where both locals and visitors have gathered to join in on the revelry.
In keeping with the spirit of the occasion, the shopping center has organized a series of activities that highlight the rich culture and traditions of Thailand. The Baan Raksil Thai Team kicked off the festivities with a lively “Long Drum Dance Procession” and “Happy Thai New Year Garlands” to spread cheer and goodwill. But the highlight of the day was undoubtedly the “Foam Party,” which proved to be a hit among both kids and adults.
Using natural foam that is harmless to people, the Market Village Hua Hin shopping center created a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees, who were thrilled to be celebrating Songkran after a long period of COVID-related restrictions.
The grand opening ceremony was presided over by the Mayor of Hua Hin, who assigned the Deputy Mayors, Mr. Atichat Chaisri and Mr. Jeerawat Prahmanee, to lead the event. They were joined by General Krit Phuangvalaisin, the Sheriff of Hua Hin, who chaired the ceremony, and several esteemed guests, including the President of the Hua Hin District Red Cross, the President of the Hua Hin Cha-am Tourism Business Association, the Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Prachuap Khiri Khan Office, the President of the Tourism Business Association Prachuap Khiri Khan, the General Manager of Market Village Hua Hin, and representatives from various agencies.
Overall, the “Hua Hin Songkran Foam Party 2023” was a resounding success, bringing people together and fostering a sense of community spirit amid the festivities.
